Simmonds Lumber NZ was formed in 2001 based on a decision by the CEO, Paul Elsmore that the companies expertise built across many years in a variety of products out of its supply partners in Indonesia and Australia could be extended to cover the needs of the Domestic Housing Industry and Landscaping Market throughout the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
The Division since inception under the leadership of Neil Fredricson has continued to gain not only Market share but just as importantly acceptance from the NZ industry as a reliable and quality driven supplier, supported by a small team of dedicated personnel.
Based in Cryers Rd East Tamaki the division operates from a site that has a warehouse capacity of some 15,000 sq ft and Hardstand of 10,000sq ft
Today the division is a leading supplier of Merbau products, such as Reeded Decking / Laminated Posts and Componentry / Flooring and Structural Beams.
Simmonds Lumber by mid 2007 will be able to offer to the new Zealand consumer via leading trade outlets DNA technology which ensures that our range of Merbau products are independently Certified as been derived from Legal Concessions in the country of origin.
