Grey-brown to pale brown in colour. It has a slightly greasy feel to it similar to Teak, to which it is related. It has a fine texture with grain slightly interlocked, producing a subdued figure. Density 700-800Kg/M3.
Uses – Mainly used for decking, but can also be used for heavy construction, in boat building, wharf decking, posts and other exterior uses.
Availability – Reasonable volumes which currently is stocked as 90x19 and 140x19 only for decking purposes. |
