Medium density softwood (540Kg/M3 at 12% M/C) with a pale cream to golden brown heart, sapwood straw to pale brown. Fine texture mainly straight grain. Easy to saw and machine. Easily kiln dried from green.
Uses – Furniture, joinery, mouldings, turning, panelling.
Availability – A dominate specie of Fiji’s indigenous forests, so supply is not generally a problem |
